Other colour variations of this species are yellow with black spots, green with black spots and green with black-brown spots. Everyone with a strange yellow or green Dendrobates "pumilo" from Panama, might be the owner of Dendrobates vicentei'

The eggs are placed in clumps of foam like Phyllomedusa-nests. Further similar to D. pumilio.
